lao zheng vs Gaby

Somehow, we have to believe that, every now and then, we come across things that we would never expect, or, we get to kown someone who we have no idea they would be coming into our lives. like lao zheng met Gaby. or, in another word, a Chinese woman met a German woman.眨眼

Chances are, out of 99% of possibility, they would live in completely seperate lives and not even know the existence of each other. One is a traditional Chinese woman who didn't have an opportunity holding a degree qualification and has spent most of her life doing physical works for living as she has to. Whereas the other one grow up listening to the beatles and has achieved her doctoral degree to be an uni lecturer in the major of media arts.
However, there was a me, who was against lao zheng's wishes and decided coming to nz, and has been living with Gaby for about two and half years. So there you are. connection bridged!

well, having said so, they do have things in common:
they are at similar age.
they both have two children.
their childern don't listen to them.
although they both admit that they have good kids吐舌
they both have lots of worries.
they both have good friends.
they both cook nice food.
they both have a grandson.
they can both be emotional sometimes.
they have both been through some harsh period when they were young.
they both have good husbands. (Gaby has Chris, who is a English gentleman. you can feel the loveing air around always when you see them being together; lao zheng has lao qi who has been pretty laid back in his life and brings larghters when lao zheng gets frustrated.)
they both like readings. And, they like each other and became friends after spending two weeks together based on the fact that they couldn't communicate verbally without having me around.

Gaby asked me the other day to tell lao zheng that she should come back to NZ again because"you never regret on things you have done, you only regret on things you haven't done". plus, "tell her, i miss her" she says.
I passed this msg to lao zheng on the phone, and she replys "Gaby is such a nice person, meeting her is one of the greatest experiences i have had over in NZ" and she told every friends she saw the next day that she has a friend in NZ misses her and wants her to go back.

oh.., most importantly. they both are great mothers!

Happy Mother's day!

lao zheng and Gaby!
